On this page you will find examples of my work. I have been involved in many aspects of television production. In the past I have shot, edited, directed, produced, and written many projects. I have experience in ENG style news packages, news magazine style stories, and video montages. I have experience in studio and field environments. I am proficient in Mac/PC operation systems. In addition I plan to learn XHTML and CSS for web design. I am experienced with Avid's Media Composer as well as Apple's Final Cut Pro and its related software. I also have shot with many video cameras such as Sony PDX10, Sony PD170, Canon XHA1, Panasonic AG-HMC150P (AVCHD).

Professional Work

During and after my time in high school, I was looking for a way to grow my experience with professionals who could teach me the ropes of how to produce great video products. Becon-TV is a great resource for students in Broward County, FL providing them with the opportunity to step into a professional television station and increase their skills. While I was at Becon-TV I worked on two of in-house local programs called "Broward School Beat" and "Broward Teen News". BSB was a show that primarily focused on stories highlighting the success and opportunity of the Broward County School Board. BTN was a show about high school students, for high school students, by high school students. While at BSB I helped edit the package below. While at BTN, I shot and edited packages as well as anchored. Feel free to check out these videos. Also, you can find a spot I helped create for Country 103.7 The Gator. In addition, I posted a photo of when I helped grip for TV on Florida Field during a game. Two other photos are of me shooting an acoustic concert of Kevin Fowler at Reitz Union at the University of Florida provided by Country 103.7FM The Gator. Most recently, I participated in ESPNU's Campus Connection sports broadcast of soccer on ESPNU (UF v. LSU). During the event students like myself shadowed the pros learning and working on a live remote broadcast. Currently, I work as an AP for WCJB-TV20 (ABC affiliate) in Gainesville, FL.

This is a website I created as a student while attending the University of Florida. The purpose of the website is to create a platform for people interested in non-linear editing. It features a basic introduction, Final Cut Pro tutorial, and an interview with Brad Noblitt. It also features an online forum as well as various links for continued instruction on various editing techniques.

The above is an example of me as a TD for the WUFT-TV "First at Five" Newscasts live in HD from Wiemer hall at the University of Florida. Here I'm using a Grassvalley Kalypso. The Video on the left showcases our on-air program and on the right you can see the exact same video with a director's track.

ENG Packages

In this video, I was tasked with editing the story for "Broward School Beat" on a Mac with Final Cut Pro. My task was to edit the package from the start by labeling clips after importation all the way to finalizing. This package eventually aired on WBEC-TV in 2009.

In the video, you will be able to see all of my work from Broward Teen News, including my background in the studio, hosting and a package that I edited. This package "Leading the Patriots" eventually won "Best Sports Feature" in the season of all sports packages in BTN. It eventually aired on WBEC-TV in 2009.

The BSB and BTN videos were produced by BECON-TV in Davie, Fl.
